Pickup and postage

Livestock is collected in person. Food and dry goods go in the post.

Livestock: pickup only

We do not post live fish, shrimp or snails. There are no exceptions to this.

How collection works

  1. Send an enquiry through the contact form with the species and quantity you want.
  2. We confirm availability and hold the stock for you.
  3. We agree a collection time and send you the address.
  4. You inspect the fish swimming before you pay and take it home.

What to bring

  • An esky or a foam box, particularly between November and March.
  • A towel to cover bags, which keeps fish calmer and holds temperature.
  • Enough time to drive straight home afterwards.

We bag and oxygenate everything for the trip. Bags are good for a couple of hours, so plan the trip home rather than running errands on the way.

Where and when

Gold Coast, QLD. Livestock Pickup by appointment only. This is a home fish room rather than a shopfront, so there are no walk-in hours.

Food and dry goods: posted Australia wide

Anything that is not alive can be posted. Flat rate $12.95 Australia wide, free on orders over $150.00. Local pickup is always available if you would rather collect.

Frozen food is the one exception. It is marked pickup only on its product page, because it will not survive a courier network.

Dispatch

Orders placed on a business day are usually packed the same or next business day, Australia/Brisbane time. Delivery time after that depends on the carrier and your location.
